OUR TEAM

beverley bishop
Artistic Director
Bev is a performer, creator and workshop facilitator with over 30 years of experience working in the arts. She trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and has toured with a variety of companies and partnered with organisations such as Norwich Theatre, Creative Arts East, C Arts, Vaults Festival and the AltPitch Festival. Her work has garnered recognition and accolades including selections to Courage Film Festival (Berlin), Sydney Fringe Festival, Norwich Film Festival and nominations for Best Theatre at Norfolk Arts Awards.
Her flagship autobiographical production ‘Finding Magic’ toured the UK and reached international audiences digitally, and this journey led her to set up her production company Finding Magic CIC. Bev is a passionate advocate of the arts and its power to change lives. She creates performances and films that are uplifting, entertaining and full of wonder, whilst having a meaningful impact through the stories she tells.

lezley blackburn
Administrator
Lezley helps with the Finding Magic administration and occasionally provides touring support when the show goes on the road.

She has worked as a silk painter, a shoe maker and a gardener over the years and has spent many years in America and India. Lezley is a certified Soul Midwife.

Panda Monium
Panda is a writer, performer and theatre maker working within the arts sector across Norfolk and nationally.
She founded pirateutopia.org, a collective of artists and coders committed to exploring the merging of digital and live performance. The company, funded by Arts Council, used digital communication to allow the audience to communicate directly with characters and affect the outcome of the production. The interactive audience experience was extended beyond the time spent in the performance space using digital platforms. Live video was incorporated into each show which provided evolving debate on the themes raised alongside projected audience text comments

freddie main
Freddie's performance work is rooted in audience responsive theatre and uses humour to provoke thought, offer authentic connection, bring people together and challenge. He develops scripts through an intensive workshop process with room for improvisation and audience interaction once in performance, making it current, relevant and unique to each audience.

Freddie wrote, directed and performed 'Babs For Life' at the Edinburgh Fringe and in 2024 will be directing 'Balcony View', written by Ciara Jack.

glass house dance
Glass House Dance was set up by Sarah Lewis and Laura Anderson to take contemporary dance into public spaces. They have made their mark on the outdoor arts scene, touring nationally for 10 years. Their reputation is built on creating uplifting participatory and interactive performances and events for people of all ages including You, Me & Everybody Else, Us, Time Machine Disco, A Little bit of Light, The Quiet and the dance-alongs.

Laura and Sarah are recognised for working collaboratively with both professional and recreational dancers by hosting a positive, playful space for people to express their unique creativity to make essentially human, touching dance experiences with wide appeal.
In 2022, Laura and Sarah became Associate Artists at DanceEast.

russell turner
Russell has been working professionally for twenty years as an actor, deviser, clown, street performer, improviser and poet. Last year he worked with Curious Spark on the filming of POP 1578, a school and museum resource describing Elizabeth I’s journey through East Anglia. He was involved with UpShoot Theatre Co. as an actor and deviser for Dr Hills’ Casebook, focussing on 19th Century and contemporary mental health issues in Norfolk, working closely with community participants
